Why you also need a pump and kit

The fan blows air, but the cooling comes from high-pressure misting. To get real 1000 PSI dry fog that flash-evaporates instead of leaving you damp, you pair the fan with a high-pressure pump. A 1/4 GPM pump runs about $1,535 and covers up to three fans. A 1/2 GPM pump runs about $1,899 and covers four to six fans.

Because one pump can drive multiple fans, adding a second or third fan costs much less per fan since you are only buying more fans and line, not another pump.
