The pump: the heart of the system

The pump is what separates a real high-pressure system from a hardware-store kit. It pressurizes water to 1000 PSI so the nozzles can atomize it into dry fog. Pump capacity, rated in gallons per minute, sets how many nozzles or fans it can drive.

We offer two sizes to match your patio. The 1/4 GPM pump (about $1,535) covers up to 3 ceiling fans, and the 1/2 GPM pump (about $1,899) covers 4 to 6. For a perimeter line, the larger pump supports a longer run with more nozzles.

Line, nozzles, and fittings

The line carries pressurized water from the pump to each misting point. Along it sit the nozzles, spaced about every 2 feet for an even fog curtain. Brass fittings connect the sections and seal the joints against high pressure.

Material matters here. Stainless nozzles resist the corrosion and mineral scale that Phoenix hard water causes, and anti-drip nozzles seal when the pump shuts off so the mist stops clean instead of dripping. Adding a ceiling misting fan

If you want airflow and misting in one fixture, add a Luxaire Ceiling Misting Fan. It mounts into a covered patio roof and carries an integrated 1/4 inch misting ring, an LED light, and a remote or wall switch in a powder-coated, outdoor-rated housing.

The fan comes in 14 inch ($1,299), 18 inch ($1,349), and 24 inch ($2,099) sizes, fan only. Pair it with the pump and setup kit and you have a complete DIY system that runs on standard 110V power and a garden hose.
